Included in this book are advanced rules for Detailed Star System Generation, Exploration, Sector-Based Movement, Retreating, Ramming, Campaign Ground Combat Resolution, Non-Player Entities, Underworld Empires, Terraforming, Elite Officers and Crews, and much, much more!

As with any VBAM product, all of the rules found in the Campaign Moderator's Companion are modular. You can use the rules you want, and ignore the rest! It is this design hallmark that allows you, the Campaign Moderator, to create the most rewarding campaign experience possible.

Rule Highlights

Advanced Star System Generation

Three advanced system generation rulesets are included, allowing you to add as much or as little detail to star systems as you want.

Non-Player Entities

The included rules for non-player entities (NPEs) allows CMs to integrate non-player empires into a campaign and have them conduct diplomacy independently with their neighbors. The NPE rules are built around the AIX system wherein each empire's diplomatic outlook is defined by three statistics: Aggressiveness, Integrity, and Xenophobia.

Elite Officers and Personnel Grade Levels

Rules for creating Elite Officers are provided, which allow players to create their own battle-hardened veterans and add additional flair to your campaign. Rules are also provided for tracking experience and personnel quality on a unit by unit basis.
